While Dree Hemingway admittedly doesn’t read many of her grandfather’s books she still holds his last name. The young 22 year old model is fast making herself known in the fashion industry by flaunting what she does value and the rest of us seem to find very appealing. She has posed for Vogue, Purple and now the latest VMagazine spread is just hitting the airwaves. Holding true to her recent public display of cleavage, her nipples are popping out everywhere and I guess I shouldn’t be complaining. She is as gorgeous as the rest of her family. We can only hope that life holds her a little more luck and tragedy leaves her alone.
The Hemingway’s have almost as much angst as the Kennedy’s when it comes to losing loved ones. I am sure there are many families who have the same issue but I can’t think of any more famous than these two. Between the two of them premature deaths happen far too often. I guess it holds true to the saying that money and fame definitely does not always go hand in hand with happiness. I for one would still like to give it a shot but I might have to continue hoping for a big lotto win. It doesn’t seem to be happening any other way.
I do wonder what is happening with VMagazines issue number 62. It seems to be loaded down with more smoking hot pictures than Playboy. I guess since it caters to the more artistic side versus porn everyone is more tolerant. It makes you wonder what the definition of porn really is. If you talk to the family value fanatics anything showing a nipple should be burned in the street with the photographers getting a public flogging. We all know that the right wing elite secretly watch Jenna Jamison in the dark corner of their living room, but if you take a slightly more liberal approach there can be times when nudity is done with an artistic flare.
While we are all men we should be able to set aside our piggishness once in a while and enjoy the female body as an art form instead of just lusting after it while we wipe drool from our mouths. My guess is the religious zealots can’t differentiate between the two and therefore will never be able to understand the contradiction. Carrie Prejean in the end has turned out to be the perfect spokesperson for her Christian cultish group. There will never be more hypocrisy spewed forth into the air than we she opens her mouth. If she didn’t want a tape of her masturbating to be released then she might not have wanted to make it in the first place.
The obvious question is who really cares. Everyone has masturbated at one point in their lives or another. Wait, except for the core family value fanatics. Every time I read more about this it makes me a little nauseous thinking of people sitting at home diddling in a corner only to come to work and point the same finger at anyone and everyone they possibly can.
