Amerie, “In Love and War” with some smoking hot photos

Amerie 2Amerie 1Amerie’s new album has hit the stores “In Love and War” and appears to be getting some rave reviews.  I wish we could get somebody who actually knows music to blog on this site.  I do such a disservice to anyone in the music industry.  I am all about the ladies dude, but listening to some nice tunes is always relaxing at the same time.  Seems like I-Tunes messed up the launch date and couldn’t quite figure out how to get the music working for Amerie’s new album.  Does anyone actually know if this is fixed or is Amazon still the primary place to download the music?

I found out about Amerie through Complex.com.  They always seem to have the beautiful women on their site whether they are singers or just plain girls next door.  The have some more photos, a video and an interview if you pop over there and take a look.Amerie 3Amerie 4

Amerie seems to have floated back to her roots with the heavy percussion and raspy voice singing about love, lost love, wanted love and the issues of being in love on her new album.  What R&B singer’s know best right.  I can only say that I buy few albums now in my old age but this one seems appealing enough to grab and keep around for a while.  My guess is she might see her career vault a little higher after this one gets a little more mainstream.  Granted most of the initial sales are to her avid fans but still, the songs seem to hold their own with a couple vaulting higher than the rest.

Amerie 5Amerie 6“Higher” and “Why R U”, might be a couple to listen to on the first try if you don’t know her music.  Both are enjoyable.

If you like a little rhythm and some decent melodies then you might want to take a preview and see what she has to offer.  In the meantime she seems to offer the “full package” as Simon would say on American Idol.  Being smoking hot, a great voice and a rocking body, at some point she should start to gather a wider range of audience.  Seems like those damn Europeans beat us to the punch again as she has been popular overseas for a few years now.

I guess we will have to see how she does in the sales department but I for one say you might want to take a peak of you enjoy the sultry beat of a women belting out some forceful tunes about “Love and War”.  I like the title because the two always do seem to go together.Amerie 7Amerie 8

Sometimes I feel like a nut and sometimes I just throw up my hands in frustration and cry to the world “why me”, only to realize I am dreaming and the dog is licking my face again.  Damn, that is just too much loving dude.
